Position: Tax Manager

Kuberneo CPA is looking for an experienced, full-time Tax Manager to join our growing team. We are searching for a skilled accounting professional with tax preparation and review experience at our main office in Southwest Orlando.

Job Description

The ideal candidate is an accounting professional looking to build a long-term position and grow alongside our steadily-growing team. Our goal is to find a self-starter who is accountable to deadlines, operates independently and works well in a team environment. Communication skills and respect are extremely important in this job. The optimal candidate must have strong people skills and be knowledgeable in the areas of accounting and tax to serve as a partner with our clients.  Work location is in the Dr. Phillips area of Orlando.


  • Prepare tax returns for Individuals, S & C-Corporations, Partnerships, Trusts and Not-for-Profits
  • Prepare Tax Planning and Projections
  • Record transactions and prepare payroll calculations
  • Comply with local, state, and federal government reporting requirements
  • Maintain financial reporting, records and general ledger accounts
  • Maintain the fixed asset and associated depreciation schedules and ensure proper recording of new purchases and dispositions
  • Handle routine client questions and work with clients to obtain necessary information for financials and tax return completion
  • Conduct tax research for unusual situations
  • Assist in federal and state audits
  • Review projects / returns as prepared by others
  • Coach / train staff
  • Senior Tax accountant will maintain our tax preparation system
  • Keep abreast of current developments in the tax area
  • Provide an information source in the tax area within the company
  • Other tax projects as they arise.
  • Assist in financial planning and analysis.
  • Tax Manager will gain new clients


  • 7+ years of accounting experience including work on individual and corporate tax returns
  • Understanding of generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP)
  • Excellent organizational, client service and communication skills
  • Self-motivated, able to multi-task with the ability to work in team environment and autonomously
  • Detail oriented is essential
  • Strong written and verbal skills
  • Demonstrates the ability to identify issues as well as propose and implement solutions
  • Completion of accounting course work at an accredited college or equivalent work experience
  • CPA required
