Update on the CARES Act
After weeks of quarantine with at least another 30 days to go, there is considerable fear around sickness, finances, relationships, etc. One of the key things I’ve taken away from the last 15+ months of cancer diagnosis and treatments is there are always things out of your control. This is the time for reflection and reevaluation of what’s important. These are all genuine concerns that should be addressed, but the thinking shouldn’t stop there. I’m taking this time to reevaluate priorities, goals and next steps that will help change my focus from fear to hope.
I’ve watched several businesses and individuals reinvent themselves for this new economy. From restaurants now offering pickup and delivery, to manufacturing companies developing and creating new products, to individuals introducing themselves to each other in new, creative ways. If there was ever a time to think outside the box, this is it.
In the interim, the government passed a stimulus package (the Coronavirus Aid, Relief, and Economic Security Act, or CARES Act) to help both individuals and businesses. On the business front, there are loan guarantees and grant opportunities available. We are reading through the CARES Act to help identify what options might be available, and will publish updates on this page as new information becomes available.
As always, if we can be of assistance through these uncertain times, please let us know. We are here for you to help in any way possible.
